Here's another vintage commercial I didn't mind having interrupt my cartoon shows when I was a lad. It's for Kellogg's Rice Krispies and for years, I wondered who those singers were. Well, I finally found out: They were three-fourths of a singing group called "The J's With Jamie." Jamie was a lady — Jamie Silvia — and she was married to Joe Silvia, who was also in the group. The other two men were Marshall Gill and Len Dresslar.

The Chicago-based group recorded regular record albums like the one above in 1963 and even got nominated for Grammy Awards but they made their real money doing jingles and commercials — hundreds of 'em. Wikipedia quotes Time as saying "they have probably been heard by more people more times than any other group in the history of sound. Yet next to nobody knows who they are. They are the world's most successful singers of TV commercials." When Mr. Dresslar passed, the newspaper obits said he was the voice of The Jolly Green Giant. (I suspect several different people were at times.)
