Murphy

Obit for Murphy Anderson in the New York Times.

One other point I should have made about Murphy: He was a wonderful source of information about the company he worked for and the people who worked for it. He would talk to you about his work, of course, but he would also talk about the folks with whom he worked…and he had no jealousy, no ax to grind. Some of his peers were known to slant history in their direction but not Murphy.

There are people in our field who are respected as creative talents. There are people who are respected as human beings. Murphy was among the few to score highly in both categories.
