One of the 73,000 panels I hosted at the Comic-Con International a few weeks ago was called "Taking Back the Knight" — not my pun but a good one. It was about how Batman was rebirthed and reupholstered in the seventies, primarily by writer Denny O'Neil and artist Neal Adams. They were on the panel along with Paul Levitz, who later edited and wrote the Batman comics. Over at Comic Book Resources, Andrew Wahl has a good report on what was said.
