A rare (and brief) interview with Frank Miller, the man who reimagined Batman in the eighties. Frank is being modest in there when he says, "I've done my best to pave the way for artists in the future to be treated better than I have." And he's absolutely right that Batman is a lot more than just a guy who drives around in a Batmobile.
Speaking of that Batmobile: DC won a major victory today when the Supreme Court declined to hear an appeal regarding that famous vehicle. A California mechanic who built and sold replica Batmobiles lost a lawsuit that nailed him for copyright infringement. He and his attorneys insisted the Batmobile was not just a "useful object" (not subject to copyright protection) but a creative one (that was). The Supreme Court let the lower court decision stand.
