This evening, I'm attending the annual banquet of the Comic Art Professional Society, a group I co-founded back in 1977 to unite folks in the Los Angeles area who do comic books and comic strips. Tonight, they're honoring two men — Disney Legend Floyd Norman and Broadcasting Legend Gary Owens. Some of the speakers will be talking about Floyd, some will be talking about Gary and I'll be talking about them both. So no more updates here today as I prepare two speeches. Tomorrow in this space, another Tale of My Childhood. This one goes way back to elementary school. It's the story of how I skipped a couple of grades and managed to avoid skipping others.
