The Disney website has posted a nice online preview of the upcoming TV-Movie version of The Music Man. Here it is. In various Internet forums that relate to Broadway stuff, folks have already started condemning the thing as an outrage and desecration. A certain percentage of theater buffs practically live to bash, and don't bother waiting until they've actually seen something to set their opinions in cement. I will admit Matthew Broderick does not look like a carbon of Robert Preston but that's not necessarily bad. In any case, I think I'll do something radical and wait until the show airs to decide how good it is. This will occur on Sunday, February 16.
