Anyone get the feeling that the current behind-the-scenes scrambling among the Enron biggies is all about determining who's going to be the scapegoat? I mean, they can't all have been "out of the loop," right? That excuse only works if someone falls (or is shoved) onto his sword. In the meantime, the excuse of, "Enron never received any special treatment from the government" seems to not be playing in Peoria. Lists keep popping up of favors and helpful legislation.
